Homemade Chinese Five-Spice Powder

Ingredients

  • 5 whole star anise
  • 3 cloves
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons Szechwan peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
  • 1- inch pieces of cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Place all spices in a spice grinder, and grind to a medium-fine powder. Store in an air-tight container for up to 1 month.
