The Salted Tarragon Greyhound

Servings 1 cocktail
Author Brandon Matzek

Ingredients

Ruby red grapefruit wedges, for garnish

    Instructions

    • Fill a short glass to the top with ice. Pour in grapefruit tarragon infused vodka ⅓ of the way. Fill the remaining ⅔ with freshly squeezed ruby red grapefruit juice. Transfer liquids and ice to a cocktail shaker. Add a small pinch of flaky sea salt, then add agave nectar to taste*.
    • Shake vigorously until well chilled. Pop off the top of your cocktail shaker and pour everything (drink and ice) back into the short glass. Garnish with a fresh wedge of ruby red grapefruit.

    Notes

    * Agave nectar is a thick liquid sweetener. You will need to shake up the cocktail to really incorporate it into the drink (if not, it will sink to the bottom). I would recommend adding a bit, shaking, then tasting for sweetness. If the drink is still too tart, add some more nectar, shake and then taste again. For one of the drinks pictured above, I added 1 teaspoon of agave nectar.
